CAREER EXPLORation for Middle School -
Each January, students from area school districts may participate in this middle school, career day event via Zoom. Nex-Generation coordinates with I-CAN (Interactive Consortium Academic Network) in sponsoring this event.​

CAREER FAIR for High School -
Area high school students may participate in our annual, Career Fair event, where they will hear from multiple area business professionals on business, medical, and technical careers.
​
This popular event helps students consider the types of career options that are available in northwest and north central Kansas, and provides local businesses a forum to showcase themselves to the students. Nex-Generation coordinates with I-CAN (Interactive Consortium Academic Network) in sponsoring this event.

RESUME WRITING AND INTERVIEWING- Nex-Generation works with schools and other organizations to help prepare students for scholarships and employment opportunities by hosting free, resume writing and interviewing workshops in the classrooms.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS ON CITIZENSHIP & LEADERSHIP-
Nex-Generation provides a speaker for civic and school meetings and organizations, such as Kansas Association for Youth, Student Council Association, National FFA, National Honor Society, Girl Scouts, etc., on important youth-related topics that help students grow as leaders and citizens within their communities.

NEX-GENERATION STUDENT INTERNSHIP
LEADERSHIP & GRADUATION DAYS -
Nex-Gen interns attend a Leadership Day during the summer at one of three locations where they network with other interns, participate in teambuilding exercises, hear from community leaders, and more!

At the end of the summer, our interns and their mentors attend a graduation day ceremony, where the interns each give a "Success Story" presentation about their own summer experience.

YOUNG AMERITOWNE® of KANSAS-
4th-8th grade students go through about four-to-six weeks of financial literacy curriculum that culminates in a field trip to the Young AmeriTowne® of Kansas in Lenora, KS. Students become "Towne citizens" and gain real-world experience as bank tellers, newspaper reporters, health technicians, and more.

LIFE$KILLS-
NEW! We have just launched a new, hands-on learning opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to help prepare them for real-world experiences. Life$kills focuses on budgeting and decision making, as students prepare to transition from the classroom to adult life. We are hosting this program from our AmeriTowne building in Lenora.

"NEX-GREAT IDEA" ENTREPRENEURSHIP/ BUSINESS PLAN WORKSHOPS-
Students learn about entrepreneurship and how to write a business plan in a hands-on workshop setting.
