After serving as our "part-time" Executive Director since we began our organization in 2013, Jacque Beckman has announced she will be leaving Nex-Generation at the end of May 2024, commensurate with her retirement from a 33-year tenure at Nex-Tech. While we will miss her greatly, we wish her the very best as she continues to pursue her dreams and serve Northwest Kansas youth in her new capacity as a high school English teacher. "I have loved every moment of my job! At Nex-Gen, we have an amazing team and a fabulous Board of Directors. We have also built tremendous relationships with schools, students, businesses, and communities. Because of this, my heart soars," Jacque said. "I am so excited to pass the torch to our new Executive Director who, I know, will lead this organization and the region to even greater heights!"

 

As we say goodbye to Jacque, we say hello to Kelli!

 

Nex-Generation is pleased to announce the hiring of Kelli Hueneke of Phillipsburg as our new Executive Director. In Kelli's 25 years in education, she has taught students ranging in age from early childhood to middle school. Kelli shares, "This role is a natural fit for an educator. I have always loved teaching, as well as living, working, and raising my family here in Northwest Kansas."

Though she will be working outside the traditional classroom, Kelli is excited to reach students on a larger scale: "I will strive to build Nex-Generation's legacy by continuing the important work of guiding our youth through career paths and connecting them with local businesses. Their experiences here will set them up for success."

Kelli looks forward to continuing to build relationships with community members and schools. "I will continue sharing Nex-Generation's story and showing the region how we support our youth. This promotes growth in our communities, and that's truly what it's all about," she said.
